Photograph shows a view of the Stables Cafe from across the lake, Towneley Hall. The Stables and Coach House were built c1790 and are Grade II listed. The cafe first opened in 1951. Over the next five decades the cafe had a succession of owners and was closed for several periods. The current owners took over in 2000.
