General notes

The Bowls competition took place at Victoria Park on the 2nd September. The bowling greens were replacements for the ones lost when the M65 was built, the embankment for the motorway can be seen in the background. Here, the spectators are sat outside the pavilion. This later closed, due to vandalism and lay empty for many years, but was reopened as a cafe in 2015.
