Built on the site of a Benedictine Priory the mansion was built by the Fleetwood family who lived there until 1740s. The property was lived in by the Rawsthorne family from 1783 unitl 1925. The priory was demolished in the 1920s and the land used for housing. Note the name on the postcard is 'The Towers'
