General notes
Harle Syke Mill (left) later known as Oxford Mill, was built in parts, the first section being commenced in 1855/56. In its hey day it consisted of two weaving sheds. After closing as a cotton mill it was turned into a small industrial park. The photograph also shows various other buildings on Burnley Road.
