Described in 1905 as one of the oldest houses in Burnley it was the home of Burnley Literary and Philosophical Society between 1893 and 1917. Demolished in 1935 for slum clearance, it stood approximately underneath the current Sion Church. The photo shows gravestones in the adjacent property which was used by Whittaker Monumental Masons.
