Town Clerk of Lancaster, 1896 - 1922, and for over 40 years a member of the Library Committee. He was the author of many history book. Born 14/08/1860. He married Miss Ada Heywood (Lady Health Visitor for Lancaster Corporation) in 1911. He died in 1948.
