General notes
This modest little building came into existence in 1895, originally as the Clubhouse for Fairhaven Golf Club, until 1900, when the Clubhouse was moved to St.Paul's Avenue. It reached its peak of popularity in the 1950s and '60s when Fairhaven Lake was used for sailing boat regattas, water skiing and hydroplane racing. Known as "Bunty's Lake Cafe" in the 1950s, it is now known as the "Fairhaven Lake Cafe" and is still popular with locals and visitors alike.
