Photograph shows Egypt Terrace on the right of the image in 1939. The horse and cart are drawn up in front of it. The photograph is taken looking towards Rawtenstall. Note - Gas lamps, tram lines and electrical cables for the trams still in evidence. One house of the left with the white gable end and 3 windows is "Oakley Manse", formerly the residence of the ministers of the Haslingden Road United Methodist Chapel. It is now two private houses.
