Opened in December 1907 the Palace had a variety of uses during its lifetime, including cinema, stage productions, variety, pantomimes and bingo. It finally closed its doors for good in 1971 and was demolished in 1974. This exterior view of Palace Hippodrome, located on St. James's Street, was taken in August 1959.
