Slaidburn - Holmehead Bridge
Slaidburn
Despite Buck having labelled this image as a "View at Dunsop" its principal feature is Holmehead Bridge, a very old bridge which crosses the River Hodder on the track leading to the East side of the river and to the entrance to Hammerton Hall just outside Slaidburn. It is a public footpath and despite its apparently modest size, it is still named on OS maps.

User feedback: 'Definitely not Holmehead Bridge, Slaidburn. Holmehead is a stone arch bridge. The topography does not correspond and fits the Dunsop area better than Slaidburn.' 30/06/2024.
