Private John White was in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment (regimental number - 17401) and lived at 6, Fylde St, Kirkham. He survived the Great War being discharged in 1919 and was awarded the Silver War Badge (for disabled or wounded soldiers) at the time - his badge number was B139442.
John was originally from Denton and was born in 1876. He lived in Kirkham from 1888, shown in the 1911 census as working as a cotton spinner. He died in Kirkham in 1928.
