A performance of "Messiah", Palace Theatre. The Burnley Express 9/1/1932 p.5, in its review identifies the principals (in evening dress ) front row L-R: Mr. Keith Falkner, Bass, Miss Isabel Baillie Soprano, Miss Eveline Howarth, Contralto, Mr. Trefor Jones, Tenor, then also seated on the front row Alderman J. Sellers-Kay, Chairman, and Alderman H. Lees from the Corporation Committee. Conductor was Dan Duxbury. The photo appears on p.15 of the paper. A programme for the performance is in the Local History Section of Burnley Library.
