General notes
This ginny track linked the clay quarry at Heasandford, with the Brick & Lime Company located near Bank Hall colliery. It made its way under Queen Victoria Road next to Heasandford Bridge.
There were many of these small tramways linking the local coal mines in the Burnley area. Their primary use would have been to transport coal to nearby wharfs and railway yards. The system was unmanned and worked by the use of a chain which was connected to a steam powered wheel at either end.
