Smoke from the chimney shows that this picture was taken when the mill, reputed to make paper bank notes and other quality paper, was working. But the war memorial garden is still there plus the stocks which were transferred from a farm of the same name. Already noted for it's Hall, Chapel and cottages, Withnell Fold is now largely residential.
