Officially known as the Blackburn and District Convalescent Home for Adults, opened in 1915 on St.Annes-on-Sea seafront approaching Squires Gate Lane, Blackpool. The postcard, not stamped, reads: "Dear Friend. Just a card to say that this place is doing me a world of good only I have got a bad leg, but it is getting alright the Matron is dressing it for me. Dear friend I hope you get plenty of work in befor long so that you can go on full time. Well Mr.Kenyon I can't put much on a card but a little bit is better than none. This is Photo of the home and it is in a lovely spot. Please remember me to Mr. Norriss. Yours truely Etta."
