The St John of God Hospital was formerly Hazelwood Hall (built c1840) which was bequeathed to the Brothers Hospitallers of St. John of God in 1945. the brothers occupied the Hall until 1967, when it was transferred to the sisters of our Lady of the Apostles. in 1986, it became a private nursing home in 2006 it was acwuired for conversion to luxury apartments.
