General notes
In 1891 William Duckworth was the farmer at Bent Head Farm. By 1931 the land was playing fields, but the building, though still standing was no longer a farm. The playing fields continued in use until the early years of the 21st century when the site was sold for the construction of Marsden Heights Community College. which opened in 2010. Built as part of the "Building Schools for the Future" programme, the new school replaced Mansfield and Edge End Schools.
