Charity Farm was known as Tawd Farm and was sited on the junction of Moss Lane and Wigan Road, Skelmersdale. It was a large stone farm house and barn, demolished when the land and buildings was compulsorily purchased by the New Town Corporation. It was farmed by the Valentine family. The photos shows the milking parlour on the left and the bungalow on the top right was owned by the Cooper family who owned the neighbouring egg packing station.
