General notes

Christ Church, Chatburn taken from the northside from what is now playing fields. Until the church was built in 1838 there was no church in Chatburn. The church was the first to be built in Queen Victoria's reign. It was enlarged in 1883 with the main funding coming from a Mrs Dixon Robinson in memory of her husband. Details of the enlargement are described in a booklet available in the church.
