General notes
Keighley Green was originally the site of a chapel built in 1787 and John Wesley may have preached here when he visited Burnley in 1788. It became a Court House and Police Station when the Wesleyans moved to Hargreaves Street. It had also been used for entertainments and lectures. When the Court House and Police Station also moved from this site, it became the home of the Burnley Lads CLub.
