The Opening of Nelson Technical School on Market Street.
The School would later become a Further Education College. It was last used in the 1990s as the Catering Section of Nelson & Colne College.
The school was on the right of the image. The Town Hall can be seen on the Left.
The people to the rear are on the Grand Theatre balcony.
The gathered officials include Aldermen and the Mayor of the newly formed borough of Nelson.
