Dr. Kuerden, early Preston historian, lived here for many years and is supposed to have died here. Demolished 1959. The name of the house is taken from Thomas Woodcock who died at Cuerden in 1602. The house was rebuilt in the 17th century. It is also known as Crow Trees.
