This lifeboat station was opened in August 2003 and houses a Mersey class lifeboat (Her Majesty the Queen), launching tractor, viewing area, displays and souvenir shop.

It was built on an area which was previoulsy part of the boating lake.This view shows the rear of the building from the edge of the boating lake looking towards the estuary.
