Photograph shows Ingham's Watchmaker and Jeweller on the corner of Burnley Raod and Halifax Road. The 1911 census shows shows that James Ingham is living at 2 Burnley Road with his wife and five children. We can see that there were actually 4 rooms in the living quarters of the shop. The corner was demolished in 1937 to widen the road. The shops were built in the 1850s and new shop fronts were added in the 1880s.
