The name of the conductress, Miss Clarice Dunnington is also on the front of the postcard.
Clarice Dunnington conducted the pier orchestra from 1920 to 1933. She conducted the Manchester Orchestral Society, and other orchestras in the Manchester area. In 1935 she was described as 'one of the leading violinists of the North.'
