General notes
Postcard has five views: Entrance to Green Drive, Green Drive from the Lodge, Tennis Courts at Lowther Gardens, Entrance to Pier and Lytham Windmill. Additionally, there is a handwritten message on the back. Addressed to: Miss Jessie Morrell, A1 Ward, Queen's Park Hospital, Blackburn. Message reads: "Dear Jessie, Here we are having all sorts of times and alsorts of weather. There have been some very high winds which blow the sand in all directions. If we got a few camels we could think we were abroad. We have been to Lytham twice and have got better vegetables there than we could get here. Most of the other groceries we brought with us so we are alright. All kind thoughts from Evelyn (and?) Mary. Hope you are feeling much better and that you, too, are taking a holiday." The postcard was sent from St.Annes in 1943.
