Officially known as the Abraham Ormerod Convalescent Home, it was founded in 1891 and was situated on the St.Annes-on-Sea seafront approaching Squires Gate Lane, Blackpool. The postcard was stamped and postmarked and was addressed to "Mrss Rawcliffe, No 20 Bushell Street, Preston". The card reads: "Dear Mother Just a few lines to tell you that I have only come for a fortnight and I have got those stamps". Correspondent's name was not written on.
