General notes

Sun Street (Bottom Centre) and Cheapside were both demolished c1969 for the building of the Arndale centre, opened in 1972- Royalty mall roughly follows the line of Cheapside.. Moss Lane (later Central Drive) can be seen above the library, with Euston Grove beyond, linked by Billy Hill. Moss Lane was later extended past the library to become a through road, and became Central Drive.
The largest hexagon (to the right) is the lending library, the smallest (borrom right) is the junior library and the other (top left) the reference library, with the workroom and offices below. The lower hexagonal projection at the top is the meeting room.
