General notes
Dr Orme on horseback as part of a procession. Dr Orme was a Clitheroe G.P. From 1902 - 1924. He came to Clitheroe as assistant to Dr Fraser, whose daughter he married. A keen sportsman, in addition to playing cricket and rugby, he was also a member of Clitheroe Polo Club. He provided medical care at Stonyhurst College and, during WW1, to Barraclough and Radeclyffe hospitals. Unfortunately, his health was not good and he and his wife left Clitheroe to relocate south where the climate better suited him. He died in 1945.
