Louis Herman Lang
Louis Herman Lang was born in Burnley in 1893 to German immigrant parents. His father was a pork butcher who ran a shop on Briercliffe Road (see link). He followed his father into the meat trade and over the years ran a number of black pudding shops in the Duke Bar area. He was more famous for his interest in local history and was a keen member of the Burnley Historical Society. Louis also ran the local camera club and was a well regarded and prolific amateur photographer. He passed away in 1957.
