Colne Parish Church
Colne
There has been a church on this site since the 12th century, although the majority of the present building dates from the 16th century. Restoration was carried out in the 19th century, with the work being supervised by Paley & Austin of Lancaster. The font was donated to the church by Lawrence Towneley in 1590.
The photograph is taken looking west from near the old Grammar school with the roof of Shackleton Hall just visible on the right, it has been flipped horizontally.
