General notes
The Baxters moved to 'Brooklands' just before WW1. Lily Baxter married William Bolton on 30th January 1924 at St Thomas' Church, Upholland. Lily lost her brothers Clive and Arnold on the same day 25th January 1915 when they were killed in action, Osmond was badly wounded and died later and Maurice, although gassed, recovered and rejoined the business.
We belive The little girl bridesmaid to be Marian Baxter, the man on the far right of the back row her father, Maurice Baxter, and the lady sitting below him his wife Margaret. Marian was the eldest of 4 children, the others were Reg, Arnold and Lawrence, who were all involved in Baxter's Stores
