The image is a Christmas card in a series of drawings made by John Stanley. Waterloo Lodge overlooked the ROF. It was purchased by the Secretary of State for War in 1937, when work started on the construction of the factory, and was the residence of successive Factory Directors. The building stands facing The Sea View on the A6 at Whittle-le-Woods.
