Image shows the house known as Lane Ends in Chipping. The are so called as they are on the junction of Garstang Road and Parsonage Road. The 1893 OS map shows the properties as four separate houses instead of the three that can be seen today, however the census for 1891 shows that three separate families were living her: Thomas Seed and family, Cora Seed and her sister and John Mercer and his family.
