Eaves Wood covers the slopes of Castlebarrow Head and King William's Hill, between Silverdale and Arnside, and include the boundary of Westmorland where it came down to meet the sea, cutting off "Lancashire beyond the Sands"
With the view from the Pepperpot, and pleasant walks, Eaves Wood was as popular than as it is now with sightseers.
