Formerly known as St.George's Gardens, these were renamed as Ashton Gardens in honour of Lord Ashton who bought the land and donated it to the "inhabitants of St.Annes-on-Sea" in 1914. The postcard is addressed to Mrs. Buckingham. The message reads: "Came here last Sat. with Mr. & Mrs. Ward. We are staying about a fortnight. It is lovely here. Two beautiful days. Don't send the photos for a week or two. Hope you are well. Love, F.Cave"
