General notes
Until the 1960's, there were 2 Methodist Churches in Freckleton, the Primitive Church and the Wesleyan Chapel. In 1966 they became one with the Primitive church being closed in favour of the larger Wesleyan. The foundation stones for the Wesleyan Chapel were laid in 1884. The postcard is addressed to: Miss A. Bland, Nelson, Lancashire. The message reads: "Dear Ada Just a line to let know I am enjoying myself we have just been to Lytham we are having some lovly weather we have faces like Charlies we went for a sail yesterday for nothing we have just been wading but we did not stop long because it was cold Edna say she would like to stop hear all summer but I would not as it is to quite just at present. from yours sincerely Adaxxxx"
