The Mayor of Burnley, T.E. Gallagher and his wife, present of trophy during the 'Old Folks Dance' at the Locarno Ballroom. Also known as the Mecca Ballrooms, the Locarno was located on the corner of Centenary Way and Yorkshire Street. It changed hands and names a number of times before becoming a Bingo hall in around 2000.
