Little Moor Mill, Clitheroe
Clitheroe
Originally water-powered, the mill stands adjacent to Pendleton Brook at Primrose Bridge. Built in 1870 by Henry Parkinson, it ground corn for animal feed and was driven by a water turbine. In 1881, it was sold to Bailey Bros., and later (after 1901) to R. D. Blackburn. In the late 1960s it was sold to Brian Dent and became, as it is now, a depot for a plant hire business. The photo shows the mill staff posing outside the mill together with a large amount of bagged corn and a steam lorry.
