This is the ginney wagon track from Bank Hall colliery making its way under Queen's Park Road, on its way to the Bee Hole colliery.

There were many of these small tramways linking the local coal mines in the Burnley area. Their primary use would have been to transport coal to nearby wharfs and railway yards. The system was unmanned and worked by the use of a chain which was connected to a steam powered wheel at either end.
