Waddington
A full view of Waddington Old Hall that is mainly hidden from view today by trees. The greater part of the medieval building, dating back to the days when Henry VI took refuge there after the battle of Hexham in 1464, is still in existence. The original walls and windows with their great depth can still be seen in the Great Hall , adjoining hall and the Monks Room. Other rooms have been extended and a modern wing has been added, built in similar grey stone in keeping with the old building.
