Thomas Chester
Thomas 'Tommy' Chester was a Scottish international football player, who played for Burnley between 1936 and 1939. It was with Bury, with whom he started his career in 1926 where he made the biggest impression. Tommy played 249 games at full-back for them, before leaving to join Burnley. Tommy's two seasons at Turf Moor clocked him up another 51 appearances and a solitary goal, scored in a 1-1 draw with Bradford City in December 1937. His career ended at Notts County with the war disrupting league football in 1940.
