Frank Robert Hill
Frank Robert Hill was the manager of Burnley Football Club between 1948 and 1954. Prior to this he was a Scottish international who enjoyed a career with the likes of Arsenal and Southampton. Whilst under the tutelage of Herbert Chapman at Arsenal Frank won three League Championship medals. His playing career was interrupted by the Second World War and it ended with a move into management with his final club Crewe Alexandra in 1944. Frank went on to manage Burnley, Preston North End, Notts County and finally Charlton Athletic. Unfortunately his career as a manager wasn't as successful as his playing career and it ended with his sacking in 1965.
