Born 07/03/1828, died 13/04/1903.
Son of Henry Tunstill. He built one of the largest cotton manufacturing concerns in the North-West.
William is credited with 'making' Brierfield through the large mills he opened in the town.
He also gave large amounts to the Wesleyan Chapels of Pendle.
