Arthur Cunliffe
Arthur Cunliffe was a former England international football player who played for Burnley during the 1937-38 season. It was during his career with Blackburn Rovers that he made his name, playing 129 games in the the outside left position and scoring 47 goals between 1929 and 1933. In 1932 he won his two England caps. He then moved to Aston Villa where he spent two seasons and made 69 appearances. Before moving to Turf Moor he had a two year spell at Middlesbrough. His short time with the Clarets was following by a move to Hull City and then Rochdale, where his career ended in 1947. He passed away in 1986 aged 77.
