Queen Street Mill
Description
Queen Street Mill is a Grade I listed building in Harle Syke, a suburb to the north-east of Burnley, Lancashire. It was built in 1894 for the Queen Street Manufacturing Company. It closed on 12 March 1982, at that time, it was the last working steam powered mill in the country. After the closure it was converted into a working museum, which continues to maintain and use 300 of the original Lancashire looms, powered by its two original steam engines.
