General notes

In the distance at the centre of the photograph is the Holme. This dates from the late 16th, early 17th century with later alterations. Much of the original fabric was lost in a fire in 2004. After a decade of neglect, the building was bought by a developer and converted to apartments.
Nearer the camera are the ruins of Thieveley, a moorland farm. This appears on a 1960's aerial photograph, but has not on a later (c 2000) photograph.
