Following the completion of St.Anne's Pier in 1885, the sea front was developed with footpaths and garden walks during the 1890s. The Lifeboat Memorial and Bandstand can also be seen. The postcard is addressed to: Mrs.Crossley, Wilmslow, Cheshire. The message reads: "Dear Mrs.Crossley, We arrived here quite safe about 1.30. It was hot. It is a nice place. With love, Mrs.Key"
