General notes
Full caption on photograph reads: "On Board the 'Lady Moyra': Fleetwood to Barrow for the Lakes Aug.24/10"
'Lady Moyra' was a paddle-steamer owned by the Furness Railway Company, and used for pleasure excursions between Fleetwood and Barrow, with rail connections from Blackpool. Thomas Cook organised 'Grand Tours of the Lakes' from Lancashire mill towns. These were day trips travelling by rail and 'Lady Moyra' steamer, visiting Windermere and Coniston.
'Sankey Barrow' photographed day trippers arriving from Fleetwood and had postcards ready for them to buy on their return at the end of the day.
