Looking back towards the promenade, the building on the right is the first village hall, in front of the current building. The pipe on the right is labelled "Gas Plug" but is actually a hydrant for filling the carts used to damp down the roads in dry weather

Mr Eastwood had a Chemist shop in Lancaster, and took a selection of images around Morecambe on glass plates around the turn of the 20th century.
